Who would have known I’d be in the emergency room on a random Tuesday just conveniently at 1:08am? Probably you. If you’ve been following me on this wild journey, then you know that I’m a frequent flyer at Abbott Northwestern Hospital. I hate to admit it but I know 90% of the cardiac team by first name and even manage to squeeze in impromptu coffee dates with some while picking up refills of my highly-priced medication.
I am the biggest minimalist that probably ever existed. The idea of having multiple steps to something like makeup sounds very unappealing and I’m most definitely not interested. Kristen from Total Beauty completely agrees with me – “When it comes to face makeup, most of us will go to amazing lengths in order to find that perfect product. That one foundation, powder or concealer that completely hides spots, minimizes lines and creates an overall flawless finish. (Does one such product even exist?) We will spend a ton of cash — maybe not on one product, but on the hundreds we’ve tested in a lifetime — read reviews until we’re dizzy and, of course, allow makeup artist after makeup artist to convince us that their product is the best.” Well I’m no makeup artists or makeup guru with millions of subscribers on YouTube, but when it comes to setting powders I can tell you wholeheartedly that I seriously LOVE Sacha Cosmetics Buttercup Powder.

It’s crazy to think that I remember my 18th birthday like it was last Wednesday and it’s even more bizarre to think I wasn’t suppose to see 22 (I proved them wrong).
I never thought I’d be doing this… Yet alone be telling you about the hardest yet most rewarding decision I’ve had to make. As I mentioned in my newsletter, I’ve decided to take a different route in terms of my career choice. For those of you that have been with me from the beginning you that becoming a successful Fashion Publicist has always been my dream. I mean heck I went to Iowa State University and studied Marketing and Public Relations with a minor in Fashion Design. But before I come clean with what I’ve been looking into, lets get into the facts. Who and why do people change careers?

If only we all had $600 at our disposal to spend on this seasons’ must-have shoe. But like most working people, we have bills and other priorities to take care of before we can even think about purchasing pieces like that. And that’s why I’m here to tell you exactly how you can get the ‘to die for’ look for less than half the price.
