Sneakers To Add To Your Wardrobe This Spring

I’m sorry but umm… WHO THE F*CK IS NIKE (or Adidas, Reebok, and the rest for that matter)?! No disrespect to the highly appraised American multinational corporation that makes not only footwear, but apparel, equipment, and accessories (Nike). But seriously people, it’s 2017, which means it’s time to diversify.

I understand if you stand by the brand, I do too, but open your eyes to the endless options. There are so many footwear companies that make amazing shoes. Get out of the habit of buying the same Adidas Superstar Boost shoes every season (even if they’re in different colors) and try something different! You might even be surprised to find out that there may actually be a brand better then the one you currently plaster all over your Instagram.

They say that you’re most creative right when you wake up – well that’s bullshit. And I say that with confidence because there’s always three things I think about when I wake up in the morning; how I want to go back to sleep, how hungry I am, or how bad I have to pee. It’s 12:40am on a Sunday night and I couldn’t be more ecstatic to tell you guys about this brand called FitFlop! I know you’re probably thinking, “what the hell is that” or “what kind of brand name is that”, but from a marketing perspective it all makes sense! I had the pleasure to try some of FitFlop’s sneakers, ones worn by actress and model Uma Thurman, and let me tell you… holy sh*t.

Complete life changer! You guys know (well at least I hope you know) that I would never lie to you and that there is never any grey area with me. So when I tell you that these are the best sneakers I’ve ever walked in please believe me. I mean they’re even better than my Yeezy’s and we all know how much I love my Yeezy’s (shout out to Kim and Kanye). So what’s so good about them? They fit so snug around your feet, the small platform gives you stability, the lightweight/ breathable material makes them comfortable to wear all day, I mean I can go on and on but the point I’m trying to make is that they are a company that you need to check out!

One of my favorite pairs is the Uberknit Slip-On High Top Sneaker in the color neon blush/ white! They are super easy to clean and the best part is that they come in 7 other colors. Unlike other footwear brands, you get the most bang for your buck. FitFlop is relatively on the affordable end of the spectrum ranging from $50-$140. They also have amazing customer service, fast shipping, and you get 15% your first order – complete steal.

Soooo, what happens if you’re not into sneakers? Well let me tell you sweetheart, this train is leaving and you need to hop on it. New York Fashion Week SS 2017 showed us themselves that sneakers were going to be huge this season, what more proof do you want? The sneaker culture is like a sophisticated underground club. There’s so much involved in buying a pair of covetable kicks—you have to research them on the blogs, figure out the release date, know which stores are carrying them, and then try to reserve a killer pair in your size. And I’m saving you the trouble of all that by telling you, you can look just as good as the next girl wearing a pair of Puma Fenty’s and the only difference is she had to wait in line and spend half her paycheck while you ordered online while watching Netflix. And to keep things nice and simple… wear whatever you want with your next pair of sneakers. Create your own style. Until next time…

xoxo, B.
