Doc Martens #DOPE

I was fortunate enough to not only have my photographer Austin Schulz accompany me while in New York but fashion stylist Paige Amdahl as well. During our excursions around the city, Paige and I ran across the official Dr. Martens store. Paige had full intentions on purchasing a classic pair of Doc’s, however I was on hunt for other souvenirs from this crazy city.

The store its self told an amazing story of Dr. Marten (yes, the shoes were actually made for and after a British doctor). Five minutes into walking around the store and talking to the employees, I was in a pair of all white high-top Doc Martens – they were good sales people to say the least.

Since this generation is so caught up in living in the past, I thought why not dress this old hipster look into today’s wardrobe. I am a very big advocate for recreating old things and making them new again. Paige was amazing to work with and she created this old school aesthetic that took 2016 back to the 90’s; from the distressed flannel all the way down to deep tone lipsticks.

xoxo, B.
